Viking Self Storage will be opening a brand new facility on Hambridge Road, Newbury at the end of August 2023.  The property is a new build, having replaced the Gas Holder structure which had been a feature of the local skyline for over 70 years.   The business will offer storage units over 4 floors, served by speedy goods and passenger lifts.  The spaces available range in size, starting at 10sqft (phone box size), and up to 15,000sqft (1/4 of a football pitch size), and all sorts in between.

Contracts are short term and flexible, and customers can take on additional space at times to suit their needs – perfect for businesses with seasonal peaks and troughs.  Minimum contract term, just two weeks.

As well as storage, Viking Self Storage is a perfect location for growing businesses, especially online retail business, looking for storage, with picking-packing space, and the capacity to grow the space needed alongside the growth of the business.  The facility has communal staff welfare facilities, as well as having a range of items such as trolleys and pump trucks to make life easier for business users.  In other facilities operated by Viking, there has developed a community of small business owners.

The facility will be staffed Monday to Saturday, and the employees will be able to accept deliveries on behalf of customers, meaning the business customers don’t need to wait around for courier companies collecting or dropping off.
