Digital Placemaking for Health and Wellbeing

A talk by Dr Jo Morrison
Director of Digital Innovation and Research, Calvium

ABOUT THIS TALK

Digital innovation in the 21st century has been seismic. Digital products and services have radically impacted our experience of places; enabling us to plan a trip, find our way, pay for services, locate our friends, play augmented reality street games and so much more.

In this session, Jo Morrison explores how place-based digital technologies can enhance the ways that people experience their neighbourhoods – with the aim of improving health and wellbeing. It draws upon findings from recent groundbreaking research undertaken for NHS North East London that has community engagement and co-design at its heart.

Attendees will learn how local authorities, NHS Trusts, landowners and developers can adopt a digital placemaking approach to benefit place-based public health.
