In responding to climate change, speed of action is critical. With the costs of climate change becoming ever more obvious, it is essential to act quickly to stabilise the climate and ensure a safe future for generations ahead.
With the focus on global warming and sustainability, Wokingham Positive Difference is delighted to welcome Professor Christopher Merchant from University of Reading, who will introduce this event before interviewing Clare Sharp from the Berkshire Local Enterprise Partnership.The UK is switching away from petrol- and diesel-driven vehicles to electric. Chris’s introduction will put this policy in its context of Net Zero and recent climate events. Chris will then interview Clare Sharp, Project Manager for the Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) project across Berkshire.
Their discussion will cover:
- What is LEVI and how it is helping Wokingham make the switch?
- Why do Electric vehicles (EVs) benefit people and the planet?
- How is EV infrastructure progressing in this area?
