UKCA – UK Regulatory Regime for Goods

Join BEIS for this webinar covering changes to the roles of economic operators and routes for conformity. About this event Great Britain now has its own robust regulatory framework for goods, and manufacturers need to start using the UKCA marking. The UK’s domestic regime seeks to ensure consumers are protected from unsafe, and non-compliant goods. Businesses should get ready for the new regime as soon as possible to ensure they are compliant by 1 January 2023. In this session we will tell you about the roles and responsibilities of economic operators involved in the supply of goods requiring the UKCA marking to the Great British market and how roles may have changed following the UK’s exit from the European Union. We will also cover the two different routes for conformity assessment (self-assessment and third-party conformity assessment), how to find out which route is applicable for your product and how you can use these to meet UKCA requirements. This event is for businesses who have a role or involvement in the manufacturing or supply of CE/UKCA marked goods onto the GB market and for trade associations and organisations representing sectors which require the CE/UKCA marking.
